A  new Twitter hashtag has been created to sympathize with of Ghana’s biggest DJ’s in the UK, DJ Abrantee who’ reported to battling stroke.

Talk of Gh reports that the host of #AfrobeatsWithAbrantee SHOW on Capital Xtra in the UK first suffered from a mild attack somewhere in August 2017 but was doing very well until recently when it got worse.

Friends and colleagues are tight-lipped but acknowledge that Abrantee’s condition is “serious”.

On November 4 2017, editor of Ghana Celebrities in a post on Facebook asked for prayers for DJ Abrantee. He would however not reveal why.

Although DJ Abrantee’s twitter handle has been active reporting that he held his last show on November 4, we are told his shows have been recorded and that he has been in a health facility for a moment.

Abrantee started his radio career in 2005 working the night shift at Choice FM and filling in for absentees whilst continuing his work as a DJ on the club circuit.

The following year, Boateng was asked to present Saturday’s Choice, a show that aired once a month on a Saturday. In 2007, the success of Saturday’s Choice led to a permanent position at Choice FM to host the new Morning Riser show between 3:00 am and 6:00 am from Monday to Friday.

He then moved to another time slot in March 2010 to present the station’s evening show from 8:00 pm to 12:00 am from Monday to Friday.

The evening show consisted of tracks from Choice FM’s playlist but also included interviews with high-profile artists: Drake, Diddy, Usher, Dizzee Rascal, Kelly Rowland, etc.

At this moment our prayers are with DJ Abrantee and his family in this difficult time. We endear all fans, friends and loved ones to remember them in prayer as they go through this turbulent time. #Pray4Abrantee.
