Kojo Nkansah Liwin: “I Wouldn’t Stop Shooting Movies to Pursue A Music Career.”

Nkansah Liwin Speaks about Music Projects For 2017

While many actors and actresses of a certain generation lament the scarcity of good roles, not to mention steady work, Kojo Nkansah remains among a select group of those whose phones just can’t stop ringing.

The Popular and masterful Ghanaian actor – Kojo Nkansah aka Lil Win, spoke with Ike Frimpong on Sky FM in Sunyani on his achievements in movies and the way ahead for him in music.

Whether he supported leads, being part of the ensembles for independent movies, Kojo Nkansah always delivers the goods. He however struggled in giving a definite number of movies he had starred in in 2016.

“I can’t really put a number to the movies I starred in the previous year at the moment, but if you come over to my residence I have a copy of all the movies I have ever featured in. I have over 800 copies of every movie made in my entire career.”

He’s happy to take on any project that allows him to flex his acting muscle, especially the humorous part. Many believe he made huge sums of money last year in entertainment, both music and movies, something he accredited to God.

“No one would shy away from praise and riches, if that’s what people think then all praise be to the almighty God. All I pray for is strength and more grace to continue doing what I do.” He said

It doesn’t end there, the actor has also been enjoying some level of expedition in music as well. He has worked with some of the big names in Ghanaian music scene, and has hinted he has over 30 unreleased singles which will be released this year with music videos attached.

”There are songs with Stonebwoy, Guru, Keche, Tinny, Opanka, Stay jay, Kooko and many other artists. With Kooko, we’re actually in the studios working on two songs,and we have plans on collaborating with more artists from B/A.”

One thing that would never undermine his spirit is failure in his music, according to him music is like a hobby for him and it really isn’t his vital purpose in the industry. He added;

“Music isn’t my gift, its acting. I wouldn’t stop shooting movies to pursue a music career. I only do music to excite the fans. I’m yet to be turned down by an artist on a feature, and if that happens it wouldn’t affect me because music isn’t what I do for a living.”

The actor urged fans have patience and embrace the year with an open mind and heart. And also promote and patronize our own materials.
