Afro-beat/Dancehall Singer Miray Drops “Sangele”
Miray is a female Afro-beat, Reggae/Dancehall singer, songwriter and performer. She is known for her unique and versatile style, blending English and French. She is also a movie Actress, writer, Film Producer and Director.
Her contact with the entertainment world started at the age of 9 when she performed in a dancing competition organized by the National Television of Ivory Coast. Then she participated in a singing reality TV show audition in France in 2000.
Later during her studies in the United States of America (2004 – 2008), she recorded her first professional song with one of the renowned New York Recording studios.
Miray later performed on various great platforms such as B.B.King in Times Square (alongside the legendary Ghanaian musician Kojo Antwi), Adam Clayton building and Apollo Theater in Harlem, Open Mics at Iguana Cafe downtown New York and Marcus Garvey Park during Teriyah Festival.
In December 2013, she performed alongside Sarkodie, Fuse ODG, Kwabena Kwabena and 2Face Idibia at the 24NITE CONCERT in Kumasi, where she had a standing ovation after her performance. She was also named as the best female performer of the event.
In 2013 Miray released a single track titled “Scream My Name” featuring Atumpan, produced by Infectious Riddim. She then followed up with “Akoko” featuring Enwai Dobble in 2014, produced by Shotto Blinqx.
Miray was given the exclusivity to compose and sing the Ghana Dj Awards theme song and to perform at the event in February 2014.
In 2016 she is rebranding with a new management called Speedvision. Miray rebirths as a woman of class through her new single, Sangele produced by 2B from Ivory Coast. She is bringing a new style blending Coupé Décalé with Anglophone Afrobeat producing a unique style.
