Rapper E.L has 2 Complete Albums Ready

Talented Ghanaian rapper and current Artiste of the year, EL has revealed what has kept him off the “Beef” scene. Many have been wondering what he has been up to recently, at the time when the Ghanaian music scene has been crying out for him to contribute to a “Beef” between two giants in the hip-hop circle.

According to EL who was speaking with Ike Frimpong of Sky FM in Sunyani, he has been working on a whole lot of projects which includes two new Albums as well as the next B.A.R mixtape which already has a Debut single out titled “Love God”.

“I have been working a lot lately, l already have two new Albums awaiting release either this year or next year after B.A.R III. I can’t tell you the number of songs on the Mix tape now because I don’t know myself, am just recording, the team will do the compilation.

I usually don’t involve myself in all that, I just record my music and the team decides which ones will make the cut. We are even considering making B.A.R III an Album instead of a Mixtape, we are still weighing our options but I can confidently say the two Albums are ready and can drop soon,” he said.

The Mix tape which he promises will be amazing features artistes from Ghana and other countries from the continent. One of them is award-winning Nigerian Rapper M.I Abaga.

“B.A.R III will feature a lot of Artistes, I just finished a song with M.I Abaga. I have known him for years but this is the first time we are doing something together and there’s another rapper who is going to feature on that particular song too. It’s going to be amazing.”

EL was recently featured in the Coke Studio in Kenya followed by fellow Ghanaian sensations, Efya and Stonebwoy days after .The 2015 Artist of the year winner shared some photos and snippets of himself working in the studio on his social media pages earlier. Looks like another busy year for EL already, who keeps growing his brand in Ghana and diaspora.

The Coke Studio is shot at Film Studios in Nairobi, Kenya. The main target is teens but the show will not exclude adults, as it appeals to them also. The production features many African artistes of great repute. EL who is under contract not to talk about the deal until its official release had this to say to Ike Frimpong and his panelists.

“I can’t talk much about it because it’s under wraps and I signed a non disclosure agreements. Full details will be out in October.”

The “Koko” hitmaker also went ahead to talk more about his record label BBNZ Live and artistes who are currently signed to the label.

“BBNZ is officially made up of Ko-Jo Cue and shaker, they are the ones that are officially signed to the label. Cwesi Oteng is not with BBNZ, he hasn’t been on the label for a while now and is not part of our day to day itinerary , he is still a brother ,we work together when we have to.

He was part and we went separate ways mutually. Both Kojo and Shaker have projects they are working on and that’s what we are looking at now. BBNZ wouldn’t be signing any new acts now, it will take sometime”

“Love God” is the first official single of His forthcoming Mixtape, B.A.R III and was recorded in April this year according to him.
