Dancehall artist, Shatta Wale has thanked the British High Commissioner to Ghana following a successful concert in London over the weekend.

According to reports, the Dancehall musician had a sold out concert. From “Dancehall King”, “Shatta City”, “Can’t Touch Me”, “Everybody Likes My Thing”, to “Mahama Paper”, the singer rocked the patrons with the greatest hits from his catalogue.

“This is to say a special thank you to a friend who has been of great support from the moment he joined the movement, Shatta JB…. Hon. Jon Benjamin, the British High Commissioner to Ghana, thank you very much for the support!” he wrote on his Facebook page.

Ahead of the concert dubbed “Shatta Wale Live in London”, the “Chop Kiss” hitmaker was interviewed on BBC and also showed off his luxurious London lifestyle on social media.

Shatta Wale and his management team will be back in Accra in a few days to continue his normal studio business.

He again responded to critics comparing his Indigo O2 show to that of Sarkodie’s show at the same venue and says the comparison is just not needed, adding we all help push our music to the next level rather than doing comparisons.

‘Indigo 02 was on fire last night, it was all fun and excitement! It’s such an amazing time for Gh Music now and we need to push our music to the next level rather than doing comparism. Sark killed it at Indigo 02 during the Ghana Independence and i made a statement last night!#Championnnnnnnn
