“We Are 100% Positive about Winning Best Group Of The Year” – Gallaxy

Ghanaian hip life duo Gallaxy is set up to have one hell of a run at the upcoming Vodafone Ghana music awards, scheduled for April this year.

The group whose new record ‘Dab’ has begun garnering lots of attention, has been named in the best group of the year category this year together with VVIP, R2bees and Dunsin, a category they are much confident about winning.

Leader of the group Kwasi Dave, was speaking in an interview on sunyani based Storm FM with DJ Murphy, and divulged that they were favorites to pick up that award come this April.

” We are 100% positive about winning the best group of the year award, because our hard work is speaking for itself. So far as we’ve been nominated in that category, we stand a chance of walking away with the award.” He Opined

He again admitted that it all comes down to voting, and he believes everyone must campaign to be able pick up any award.

They’re currently embarking on a nationwide campaign to galvanize fans to vote so they win in all two categories they’ve been nominated for, which is Best group of the year and best reggae/dancehall song of the year.

Gallaxy has been receiving high praise for their tremendous output over the years, churning out hit songs upon hit songs, and are still working very hard to push their brand and music.

Kwasi also touched on their various collaborations and solo efforts, stating that they record with other artistes as a move to feed into their fan base and not because of any other physical benefits.

According to him, if at any point a member of gallaxy does a solo record, it will be to outdoor other sides of each other’s talents, and that will still be credited to the whole group.

He further cited that there seemed to be a problem with the VGMAs voting process, as many fans have been complaining about the tedious nature of the scheme.

He however pleaded with organizers to educate public on how to vote.

The group is behind hit songs such as Papabi, Gborgborvor (Ft Stonebwoy), Dab & more
